Well, the forecasters were spot on. It was stated that snow would arrive in Reigate between 1800 and 1900 hours and at 1813 hours the first flakes appeared in the air! It then continued to snow well past midnight. The snow was fine and small flakes but was constant for 6+ hours. By 2330 hours there was 55mm of snow in the garden. |

No-one is thought to have been hurt but a 25-mile (40km) long section of the A1 northbound in North Yorkshire was shut on Monday morning.
